Political Structures and forms of governance
There were three main dynasties in early East Asia.
The firstbeing the Xia dynasty, second the Shang dynasty, and finally the Zhou dynasty.
Each of the were ruled by kings
Empires
Each dynasty was its own state.
All of them lasted hundreds of years
They set the foundation for the Qin and Han dynasties to bring China into unified rule.
Revolts and revolutions
The Xia state did not completely go away until the Shang dynasty overpowered it with technological advances in about 1766 B.C.E.
Zhou forces overtook the Shang government over 500 years later in 1122 B.C.E.
The Zhou kings later simply could not control their state. This led to the collapse in 771 B.C.E. when nomads invaded China from the west.
Regional, transregional, and global structures and organizations
All three dynasties fell because of weak government or rulers.
Their people were able to take advantage of any problemms within the state, which led to the collapse of each one.
